Type: Destination Entertainment Website

Project: Although the WWF (Now known as the WWE) had an intensely loyal fan base and significant in-house resources to develop online content, it lacked a strategy for turning these assets into profit. It sought an actionable plan for reorganizing its sales model and turning its website into a successful online business.

As lead Information Architect in this project, my deliverables included:
  • A benchmark comparison survey highlighting best practices among sports-related sites, with recommendations on achieving similar outcomes
  • Analysis of WWF user/traffic statistics and recommendations on content to eliminate or expand, users to target, and peak times at which to promote
  • Functional recommendation for a subscription-based model that would offer free content to general visitors, and expanded, high-bandwidth content to paying members
  • Templated page maps and a navigational scheme intended to consolidate content from scattered "mini-sites" and organize it within the existing content management tool
